Which Upload Is Right for You?
For users on a PC, there are three web upload options: Express Upload, Basic Upload, and QuickUpload.

Express Upload is our fastest and easiest tool, perfect for uploading multiple photos to your account at once. There's no download required, and you can even order prints or share your photos while they're uploading.

Basic Upload is our one-by-one upload tool. It's best for users on a slower internet connection.

QuickUpload is our tool for uploading both photos and videos. Please note that you'll need a Clark Video subscription to upload and store videos to your account.

Express Upload for PC
If you're on a PC, you can use our Express Upload tool to add photos to your account. All photos must be in JPEG file format. You can also upload a zipped file of JPEG files. See the "File Types" section below for more information.

Please note that Express Upload may not work with all internet browsers. If you're having trouble with Express Upload, please try our Basic Upload tool.

Follow these steps to add photos to your account with Express Upload:
  1. On the homepage, click on the "upload photos" button in the yellow box at the right of the page.
  2. Next, either create a new album for your photos or select an existing album.
    • If don't have any albums or want to create a new one, click the button next to "add to a new album." Then, add an optional album title (your album title will default to the upload date if you don't change it). Click "edit album details" if you'd like to edit the album date or add a description.
    • If you're uploading to an existing album, click the button next to "add to an existing album." Click the button next to the preview image of the existing album you want to upload to, then click "select this album."
  3. If you want, you can edit your settings and preferences. Click the arrow next to "upload speed" or "photo editing" to customize your upload settings. Once you've made your selections, click the "select photos" button to continue.
  4. Next, you'll see a pop-up directory to search for and select the photos you want to upload. Click on the preview image of each photo, then click "upload photos."
  5. You'll see a progress bar tracking your photos' status as they upload. To add more photos to your current upload, click the "select more" button. To remove a photo from your upload queue, click the red "X" next to the preview image in the upload details tab.
    • While your photos are uploading, you can email or share them with friends without disrupting your upload. Use the email, link sharing, or social network networks links at the right of the page and follow the prompts to start sharing.
    • You can also order prints of your photos while they're uploading without disrupting the upload. Click the "order prints" link at right, and then click the yellow button in the pop-up that appears.
  6. Once all of your photos have been uploaded, you'll be taken to a new page. From there, you can view your uploaded photos, share your album, upload more, or order prints of your photos.

Basic Upload for PC
If you're on a slower internet connection or prefer to upload your photos one at a time, follow the steps below.

All photos must be in JPEG file format. You can also upload a zipped file of JPEG files. See the "File Types" section below for more information.
  1. On the homepage, click on the "upload photos" button in the yellow box at the right of the page.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the next page and click on the Basic Upload link under the "upload tools" headline.
  4. To start selecting photos to upload, click the gray "browse" button. Locate the photo you would like to upload, and click twice on its file name. It will then appear in your viewing area. Repeat for every photo that you'd like to upload.
  5. When you've selected all of the photos you'd like to upload, click the "upload photos" button.
  6. You'll see an indicator that the upload is in progress. Please don't close the upload window or go to any other part of the website until your upload has finished. We'll let you know when it's done.
  7. When your upload has finished, you'll see a confirmation page displaying all the photos that were successfully uploaded. From there, you can view your uploaded photos, share your album, upload more, or order prints of your photos.
NOTE: When you upload any digital photo to your online account, only a copy of it is placed in your account. The original digital photo file remains unchanged on your computer. You can upload photos from your computer's hard drive, from a floppy disk, from a CD-ROM, or directly from a digital camera connected to your computer.

  10. When your upload has finished, you'll see a confirmation page displaying all the photos that were successfully uploaded. Click "view entire album" to order prints, share your photos, or order photo gifts.
NOTE: When you upload any digital photo or video to your online account, only a copy of it is placed in your account. The original digital photo file remains unchanged on your computer. File Types
You can upload the following photo and video file types to your account:

Photos:
  • JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg, .jpe)
  • BMP (.bmp)
  • Zip file of JPEG files (.zip, containing JPEGs)
Videos:
  • AVI (.avi)
  • MPEG (.mpg)
If you use one-by-one upload, you can copy either JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg, .jpe) files or Zip files (.zip, containing JPEGs) of digital photos from your computer to your account.

The name of any digital photo you upload needs to end in either .jpg or .bmp (e.g., niagarafalls.jpg). No matter which type of file you use, the copy that you upload will be converted to JPEG format before it's added to your account.

NOTE: Whenever you upload a digital photo to your online account, only a copy of it is placed in your account. The original digital photo file remains unchanged on your computer.
